new work

Since April 2014, I’ve been focused on a project called Autism + Social Media: Eye Contact.                   (See my blog for more about this.)

I just love these…the images and the titles! I love how LOST LANGUAGE has elements of Roman letters, Asian kanji and something that looks somehow somewhere between those two forms of characters, and that together, they form a whole – in this case, a woman. I’m not sure I can see the 3D chromosomes on FLOCKING INSTINCT, but the title and the image are very compelling. HELIX kind of combines elements of the first two pieces – the chromosomes, which are morphing into letters and kanji – wow! It evokes so much…identity, individuality, the invisible things that make up every human being, the mixing of genes and the mixing of cultures…fantastic!

These are wonderful. I’m really taken by Lost Language and there is a sense of searching for something when I’m looking at it… maybe searching for what is lost. I’m curious what is the scale of these new pieces?

Thanks Camille! Love your feedback. The smaller piece is 9″h x about 10.75″w. The larger is 13.5″h x 11.5″w. Total is about 13.5″h x 18.5″w. I’d better get that labeled!
